FEKSI 2013 Report - New Record from Balikpapan!

Since Creative Economic Festival (FEKSI) has been held in 2009, this is the first time FEKSI was held in Kalimantan Island. Balikpapan got the first honor and also the 7^th FEKSI in 2013. This event was followed by 27 teams from 14 senior high schools from all over East Kalimantan.

FEKSI Balikpapan 2013 was held on Sunday, 7 May 2013, in Panin Telkomsel Building Sudirman Road. Even this was the first time for Balikpapan, but this city made a new record since FEKSI kick off in Manado this year. The winners from the last six cities were from senior high school (SMAN). But FEKSI Balikpapan winner was from vocational school (SMKN).

Team from SMKN 4 Balikpapan (Bethesda S.Y Ahmisa, Maria Christin, dan Shella Apriliana Diandra) got the winner trophy. SMAN 10 Samarinda Team (Adinda Vicky Clarasati, Denisa Amelia Kawuryan, M. Rasyid Ridho) became the runner-up, and in the third place was S.MAN 1 Balikpapan (Darwis Saputra Laurianto, Catherine Prasetya, M. Rafid Fadil)

The 4^th and 10^th place were SMAN 10 Samarinda (A), SMKN 4 Balikpapan (B), SMKN 2 Balikpapan (B), SMKN 5 Balikpapan (A),SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Balikpapan (A), SMKN 1 Samarinda (B), dan SMKN 1 Samarinda (A).

FEKSI Balikpapan was organized by Association of Press Publishers cooperated with Ministry of Trade, and supported by Telkomsel and Kaltim Post. The judges team were Dr. Suhartono (Rector of University of Balikpapan); Lauhil Machmud (Kaltim Post Group); and Rina Dwi Novianti (Telkomsel). *anneila
